In memory of my loving School friend Javier Caballero.
I met Javier in the year 1990, aged 6. He came to my school as he had moved to my town. What stood out most about him, was his ever so wonderful tan, he was the most tanned guy in our class, and the nicest as well. We got very close, we even used to sit together in class, which meant we would be told off quite a few times by our teachers, but we'd still talk. He was an amazing person, ever so friendly and kind to others. I knew I could trust him, and he could trust me as well.
As we got older, in the final year of primary, I had to say goodbye to him as we would be going to different secundary schools, not knowing that that 22nd of June 1997 would be the very last time I'd ever see him.
I didn't hear from most of my schoolmates for ages, even thought I would have loved to stay in touch, but as I was in another school, it was very hard for me.
One day, in late July 2005, my cousin's 21st birthday, and while I was out with my dad, a woman came up to to and said "Are you Sandra?" and I said "Yes, I am" then she said "I'm Raquel's mother" (Raquel was also a friend of our group. We started catching up, and suddenly she said "Did you go to class with Javier Caballero?" and I said, "yes, why?" and then she said "Well, he died early this year". My world felt to pieces, but I had to keep it down as I didn't want anyone to see me cry.
Well, the reasons behind my friends death are still undiscovered. From what my friend's mum told me, It was a Monday morning, he'd got a phonecall, he went to pick it while his mother was putting some make up on, As soon as he went back to bed he collapsed. It was a case of sudden death.
It has been questioned if he'd been taking drugs, but knowing him the way I did, I am very, very sure he never did.
To this day, I still cry over him, and I wish I could have shared his last moments with him. I was never informed about the funeral or whatsoever.
My friend left behind a loving mother, a loving father (who died due to leukemia not long ago), and a very beautiful sister.
This goes to show that no matter what, or how many times, we should always tell those we care about we actually do, before it is too late.

I want to have a few words for Javier. Javier... Muchísimas gracias por haber formado parte de mi vida durante 6 años. No sabes lo orgullosa que me siento al saber que estás en un lugar seguro, donde nadie te puede hacer daño. Muchos besos de parte de una compañera tuya de clase.
(Javier, thank you very much for having been a part of my life for 6 years. You don't know how proud I am knowing you are in a safe place where no one can hurt you. Kisses from one of your classmates).
Rest Im Peace.
Sandra

god bless x

God looked around his Garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.

He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering; he knew you were in pain.
And knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw your path was difficult, he closed you tired eyes,
He whispered to you
